StraighterLine students completing four or more courses eligible for 5% APUS tuition discount.
BALTIMORE, 5 February – StraighterLine today announced that American Public University System (APUS) students completing four or more courses with StraighterLine are now eligible to receive tuition discounts.
APUS, which operates through American Public University and American Military University, offers more than 190 affordable, accessible, career-relevant degree and certificate programs to adult learners, with a focus on military, defense, national security, public safety and related professionals. Combined tuition, fees, and books for APUS’s quality academic programs costs approximately 20% less than the average in-state cost at public universities.
Colleges participate in StraighterLine’s free course-to-course articulation agreement and tuition savings programs because over 90% of students that transfer from StraighterLine persist to a degree. StraighterLine students are well-prepared for success in an online learning environment, better understand what to expect in a formal degree program, and achieve higher graduation rates. Combined, StraighterLine’s ultra-affordable courses and tuition discounts let students save thousands on a college degree.
Says Burck Smith, StraighterLine’s founder and CEO, “college tuition has risen four times the rate of inflation while most family’s resources have declined. StraighterLine was built to fix that. Our college savings network lets students spend up to 60% less, get real academic credit, and receive the same degree they would have otherwise.”
“APUS and StraighterLine share a core focus on meeting the unique educational needs of adult learners,” said Dr. Karan Powell, APUS executive vice president and provost. “This program provides a convenient pathway for our students to continue their undergraduate studies towards attaining a quality, affordable online degree.”
In addition to APUS, the following schools in StraighterLine’s network of accredited colleges now offer scholarships and special tuition discounts to StraighterLine students:
• Bellevue University
• Brandman University
• Colorado State University Global Campus
• Concordia University – St. Paul
• Excelsior College
• Liberty University
• Mt. Washington College
• Strayer University
• University of Phoenix
• Western Governor’s University
• Western International University
