Rosemont College Partners with StraighterLine to Offer Adult Learners an Affordable Path to a Degree

Rosemont College, an accredited university based in Philadelphia has partnered with StraighterLine, the leading provider of affordable, online college courses, to offer students a financially viable path to a degree through its Momentum Program. Students can choose from 60 StraighterLine courses in subjects and once completed, transfer their courses seamlessly to Rosemont for college credit.

Rosemont’s partnership with StraighterLine allows students to take self-paced, low-cost, general education courses that easily transfer to the institution. Through Rosemont’s Momentum Program, students receive significantly discounted tuition rates toward the College’s online degrees and certificates.

“We are excited to partner with StraighterLine to provide its students with a pathway to build on their coursework and obtain a bachelor’s degree from Rosemont. At Rosemont, we understand the challenges adult learners face when advancing their education while balancing family and career. Our Momentum Program makes a higher education financially attainable through substantially discounted tuition, but also by making the process easier for busy adult learners through an expedited admission process, optimized credit transfers, and support throughout their educational journey.” Jim Cawley, President, Rosemont College

Recently ranked #9 as a Top Performer on Social Mobility in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges Rankings in the Regional Universities North, Rosemont has a long history of supporting societally marginalized populations to change lives through education. Founded to serve as a women's college at a time when women had very limited access to higher education, Rosemont's mission evolved to include lower-income communities of women and women of color. In 2009, it transitioned to a coeducational institution, and today, Rosemont serves adult learners through 100% online accredited undergraduate programs.

“Meeting students where they are is a common goal we share, and we are excited to partner with Rosemont College to provide an affordable and flexible path to a degree for adult learners,” said Dr. Amy Smith, Chief Learning Officer at StraighterLine.

Built and managed by educators, StraighterLine's high-quality, flexible and affordable online courses and student support help institutions meet the needs of diverse student populations, including high school graduates, current students wishing to accelerate their degree path, or adult learners starting or returning to school. All StraighterLine courses have been reviewed by the American Council on Education (ACE) and are recommended for credit transfer at over 2,000+ colleges and universities.
