About This Course
ACE Approved 2024
College Algebra provides a working knowledge of college-level algebra and its applications with an emphasis on the solution and application of linear and quadratic equations, word problems, polynomials, and rational and radical equations.
What You'll Learn
Use properties of real numbers and perform the operation to simplify algebraic, radical, and rational expressions, scientific notations, nth roots, and factoring the polynomial.
Solve linear equations and inequalities in one and two variables.
Solve systems of linear equations using graphical, substitution and elimination methods.
Solve quadratic equations using methods of factoring, completing the square, the quadratic formula, and graphing.
Solve equations involving polynomials, radicals, and rational exponents.
Use algebraic methods to find the domain, range, and inverse of functions, and perform transformations on basic graphs.
Sketch graphs of rational functions and polynomial functions.
Solve and graph exponential and logarithmic functions.
Solve problems involving arithmetic and geometric sequences and series.
